Welcome Rebecca Lammers – Girly Geek of the Week!
Meet Rebecca! Another #GGOTW nominated her and I can see why! She made the decision to change careers and become a Salesforce Admin and did it! Rebecca is 3x Certified, quite the athlete, is a Co-Leader for a WIT Group and was recently featured on a #ButtonClickAdmin Podcast! (link to podcast is below)
Me: How & when did you start working with Salesforce?
Rebecca: Summer 2013, I changed careers and industries in order to work as a Salesforce Admin. I loved that there was a CRM technology out there I could learn myself to deliver the changes a company needed fast. Intimidating change? Yes. Worth it? YES. I jumped in and never looked back. Congrats for taking that risk and making it happen!
Me: What is your current role working with Salesforce?
Rebecca: Admin/Business Analyst, Co-leader of Dallas Fort Worth Women in Tech/Girly Geeks ❤
Me: What is your favorite thing to do in Salesforce and why?
Rebecca: Process Builder! It’s given me the confidence to say “yes” before my companies have even finished the “can you do this in Salesforce” question. Game changer. LOL yes it is!
Me: Are you currently certified? And if so what certifications do you hold?
Rebecca: Yes! Admin, Advanced Admin and Developer. Woohoo 3x Certified! 🙂
Me: What are some of your aspirations and/or goals when it comes to Salesforce?
Rebecca: Lightning Components. Most excellent goal!
Me: Do you have any advice for women working with Salesforce?
Rebecca: Keep raising your hand. Whether it’s to take on new projects, ask questions, or just make sure people see you – be at the front of the line. If you don’t ask for it, it will definitely never happen. I second this! You have to make your own path!
Me: What kinds of things are you involved in, and/or do you like to do outside of the Salesforce world?
Rebecca: Anything outside – skiing, scuba diving, surfing. I highly recommend taking a yoga class on a standup paddleboard…the best part is losing your balance! omg 0_0 i have never heard of that LOL #DareDevil – not the series people
